Assigning user roles (Data Virtualization)

IBM® Cloud Pak for Data users that need to use Data Virtualization functions must be assigned specific Data Virtualization roles based on their job description.

About this task

To assign a Data Virtualization role to an existing Cloud Pak for Data user, the Data Virtualization Manager must complete the following steps.

Procedure

  1. Go to Data > Data Virtualization.
  2. Select User management from the service drop-down menu to see a list of users that have a Data Virtualization role.
  3. Click Add users to assign Data Virtualization roles to Cloud Pak for Data users.
  4. Enter a valid IBMid for the user to create and select a role for the user.
    A user must have a valid IBMid to log in to the console.
  5. Click Create.
